Just focusing on 5 zones from the G720_8N_FC1_FC2_FAB1_SW1_D5_RCF standard RCF file - that is switch 1 in fabric 1 with domain ID 5 (the other switch in the fabric has domain ID 7.)

1) zone.QOSH1_MC1_FAB_1_FCVI:
Domain ID 5: 0,1,2,3,5,6,7
Domain ID 7: 0,1,2,3,5,6,7

  • This contains 8 FCVI ports per site (4 per node) for MC1 in Fabric 1.
  • Note: The A900 has 8 FCVI ports per node (4 per fabric)


2) zone.MC1_INIT_GRP_1_SITE_A_STK_GRP_1_TOP_FC1:
Domain ID 5: 8,12,10
Domain ID 7: 8,12

  • This contains ports 8 and 12 (node A and B HBA ports), and 10 which is an ATTO port.

3) zone.MC1_INIT_GRP_2_SITE_A_STK_GRP_1_BOT_FC1:
Domain ID 5: 9,13,11
Domain ID 7: 9,13

  • This contains ports 9 and 13 (node A and B HBA ports), and 11 which is an ATTO port.


4) zone.MC1_INIT_GRP_1_SITE_B_STK_GRP_2_TOP_FC1:
Domain ID 5: 8,12
Domain ID 7: 8,12,10

  • This connects to the remote (site B) ATTO port on 10.

5) zone.MC1_INIT_GRP_2_SITE_B_STK_GRP_2_BOT_FC1:

Domain ID 7: 9,13,11

  • This connects to the remote (site B) ATTO port on 11.
